Strand Jack Systems
Widely recognized as the most sophisticated heavy lifting solution, a strand jack system provides precise synchronous control in a compact footprint. With lifting load capacities from 17 to 1,405 tons per jack, strand jack rentals are an ideal heavy lifting solution when a conventional crane is not practical or economical.

Engineered Rigging has the complete fleet of Enerpac strand jacks available for rental or purchase. Call 844.474.4448 to request a quote and identify the ideal model for your needs.
Strand Jack Features

Strand Jack Systems are widely used in the oil and gas industry and are ideal for industrial plant maintenance projects, ports, bridges, and any construction site with a limited footprint. Up to 60 strand jacks can simultaneously be controlled by a single operator from a central location which improves safety.

100 Irregular Loads?
No Problem for Strand Jacks!
This Panther Island Bridges construction project in Fort Worth, Texas featured the innovative use of 12 strand jacks to remove 70-ton sections of falsework. Watch the video (below) of the innovative use of our strand jacks in action and read the full article in Heavy Lifting News.
A strand jack is a linear winch in which a bundle of steel strands moves through a main lifting jack. Above and below the cylinder are anchor systems with wedges that grip the strand bundle simultaneously.
Strand Jack Components

Strand Jack Operation Sequence

Lifting and lowering a load is achieved by hydraulically controlling the main jack and two mini jacks (at the top and bottom) alternately. If the system loses pressure, the wedges automatically close, mechanically locking the load in place. This safety features eliminates the dangers associated with the suspended loads of cranes.
