Going the Distance for Customers
When LM Wind Power purchased an Enerpac SL400 Gantry to rotate turbine blades during its manufacturing process, the company requested expert assistance setting up the gantry and hands-on equipment training. Two of Engineered Rigging’s technicians embarked on the trip to LM Wind Power’s plant in Gaspe, a remote location in the northeastern tip of Canada. The journey required a flight in a small plane and six hours of driving time. While onsite, our duo oversaw the setup of the gantry crane, conducted hands-on training and performed a lift test. The test identified some bending of the turbine blade. Engineered Rigging’s heavy lifting experts were able to reset the gantry to rectify the issue in real-time.
